To take guests on a journey from The Kimberley to Kastellorizo, the Greek Island from where the Paspaley family originated, and to celebrate the launch of the new jewellery collection that marked the 100th Anniversary of their arrival in Australia.
Event Planet produced and executed four beautiful events around Australia, in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, to launch Megisti by Paspaley, the latest fine pearl jewellery collection by the Australian luxury jeweller – Paspaley.
This year’s concept featured immersive large-scale visuals transporting guests from one world to another (Kimberley to Kastellorizo) using widescreen format technology to showcase powerful video content to tell the family story.
The Paspaley 100 year documentary and a new brand film were shown at each event. A purpose-built jewellery display featuring octagonal gold and mirrored plinths provided guests with the opportunity to view and interact with the jewellery.
Upon arrival at each venue, guests were greeted by oversized gold ‘Paspaley’ lettering set against a black velvet backdrop. An ideal photo opportunity that did away with the traditional ‘media wall’.
Walking through to the event, the lighting plan reflected the story of the journey starting with the warmth of amber representing the Kimberley and shifted to blue, pink and purple representing Kastellorizo.
Australian recording artist, Milan Ring, performed on the evening and delighted guests with her set that included the feature song ‘Green Light’ from the Paspaley brand campaign.
Greek-inspired canapes were offered throughout the night and featured the rare delicacy of Pearl Meat flown in especially from the Paspaley Kimberley pearl farms for each event.
The formalities concluded with the serving of a celebratory Ouzo to toast the 100th Anniversary milestone followed by everyone joining together to dance the Zorba! Yamas!
