Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, digital and business solutions engaged Event Planet to produce the TCS Summit Asia Pacific. This exclusive, invitation-only gathering brought together distinguished executives, speakers and business leaders for an enriching and collaborative discussion on strategic content and insightful perspectives.
Running over 2 days in October and commencing with a morning Welcome Reception at the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney, guests were able to enjoy the afternoon and idyllic Spring weather, taking to the celebrated Sydney Harbour for a team building sailing regatta. Delegates became team members as they learnt sailing skills, working together and racing against other teams in friendly competition.
After changing into something more formal, guests were later transferred to the MCA for the Gala Dinner. With views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, the venue was the perfect location showcasing Sydney and offering guests high level catering and atmosphere. Whilst formalities were kept to a minimum to encourage conversation and networking, the musical talents of Jake Meadows was the perfect background tone. Speeches included a key note address from Olympic Cyclist Anna Meares OAM, who had recently returned from Australian team flag bearing duties and a bronze medal win at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Guests relished the opportunity to meet her and take a photo.
Day 2 was straight down to business, with guests participating in a one day conference in the Shangri-La Sydney ballroom. Event Planet designed and engaged leading audio visual suppliers to produce a modern geometric 18m wide stage that allowed for various lighting changes throughout the proceedings. The conference was hosted by MC Sara Jones and a speaker program of leading business figures was offered to guests such as acclaimed Canadian author, Alex Tapscott of Northwest Passage Ventures and David Thodey, the previous CEO of Telstra.
Throughout the 2 days, Event Planet also managed a Technology Showcase, which ran simultaneously with the event. This was an exhibition format to display and discuss TCS products and innovation. The showcase also offered delegates the opportunity to participate in breakout information sessions relating to their area of business. Delegate partners were also looked after with a range of activities to choose from including the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb, spa treatments and cooking classes. Other event components managed by Event Planet included registrations, branding and identity and coordinating a morning run through the CBD.
