Land Rover was the naming rights sponsor of the Polo in the City for the first time and our presence on the field was outstanding. From the entrance feature, to the marquee and the bespoke food and beverage, Event Planet ensured our presence was absolutely befitting of the title sponsor.
To design and manage Land Rover’s Polo Marquee – the Land Rover Polo Club – at the 2015 Land Rover Polo in the City Series. Event Planet was briefed to create a chic Hampton’s inspired retreat for their valued customers, celebrities and media personalities at the headlining Sydney and Melbourne events. The smaller states of Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide saw a similar concept brought to life, ensuring a consistent and seamless activation of the Land Rover brand as the naming rights sponsor for 2015.
Stepping away from a typical marquee design, Event Planet designed a structure that featured nautical exposed beam awnings, maritime lighting fixtures and an inbuilt banquette seat. The chosen colour palate of crisp white, complemented by pops of navy blue fostered the nautical feel of the activation.
Land Rover’s on-field presence extended to Polo specific branding devices such as kickboard covers and bunting. The inclusion of a custom laser-cut outline of the 2016 model Evoque, covered with lush green hedge and relevant hashtags saw Land Rover’s social media reach increase, ensuring all guest experiences at the Polo was a Land Rover experience.
The media wall, frequented by both guests of Land Rover and general public alike, was a defining element of the activation – bringing together a nautical and Polo experience. Bespoke menus were created, including the welcomed Aperol Spritz cocktails served in branded Land Rover Polo Club goblets with classic navy and white straws. Meanwhile, the real feature of the day, was the delightful miniature ponies, fondly named “Rangie” and “Rover”, complete with Land Rover branded saddle blankets and head collars.
Event Planet brought a touch of the Hampton’s to Australia to create the 2016 Land Rover Polo Club. It was declared ‘the best’ marquee on the field. All guests at the event knew they were in Land Rover territory!
